10. Copyright orders in the karaoke sector were further regulated.
In recent years, the National Copyright Administration and relevant departments have continued to strengthen the supervision of collective management of copyrights, continuously standardize copyright orders in the karaoke sector, and protect the legitimate rights and interests of rights holders and users. In January 2020, The China Audio-Video Copyright Association and other entities jointly issued an implementation plan for copyright licensing business in the singing and dancing entertainment industry to improve copyright licensing and fee distribution mechanisms in the karaoke domain, and insist on solving copyright issues through copyright collective management. In response to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, relevant associations issued an implementation plan for copyright license fees in the Karaoke field to reduce or exempt copyright license fees for karaoke venues, helping related companies to resume operations smoothly and consolidate karaoke copyright market orders.
