For students preparing for the upcoming Gaokao (the National College Entrance Examination) on June 7 - 8, one of the most important things is to know how to choose a university that best suits them.
The latest universities' ranking list released by Cuaa.net, a website that had been releasing the ranking for 17 consecutive years since 2003, provides the best and most comprehensive information on the different institutions.
Peking University topped the list again, marking the 12th consecutive year it has clinched the top spot. It was followed by Tsinghua University and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
The ranking is part of Cuaa.net's newly released 2019 Chinese University Evaluation Research Report -- National College Entrance Examination Application Guide.
The report ranked universities in 9 core areas - teaching quality (30.03%), high-caliber personnel (13.09%), subjects and majors (10.78%), achievements in high-level scientific research (19.25%), scientific research projects (7.7%), scientific research bases (5.39%), international and domestic status (1.54%), social reputation (7.69%) and international influence (4.53%).
