FootballDatabase, the world-leading online football ranking site, has released its latest ranking of best soccer clubs. Not surprisingly, Spain leads the way with three entries in the top 10 clubs.
Thanks to its outstanding performance domestically and in the European Champions League, Real Madrid climbed up three places to take the crown, followed by Italy’s Juventus, which also rose three places. Germany’s Bayern Munich dropped from second to third. Chelsea outstripped London rival Tottenham Hotspur, while Monaco pipped its fellow French club PSG.
With regard to the ranking in Asia, Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club ranked first, although only No. 78 worldwide, followed by Al-Hilal Saudi Football Club of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors of South Korea. Shanghai SIPG finished 18th, and Beijing Guoan and Shandong Luneng Taishan ranked 33rd and 42nd respectively.
