Chen Lihua, CEO of Fu Wah International, topped the ranking of Hurun Richest Women in China 2016 with 50.5 billion yuan (US$7.46 billion). She's followed by Yang Huiyan, CEO of Country Garden, and Zhou Qunfei, CEO of Lens Technology.
Mainland business women account for 60 percent of business women worldwide who have more than US$1 billion.
Financial investment and IT were the sectors featuring the fastest proportional rise, followed by social services and the food industry.
Wu Chunyuan, co-founder of AAC Technologies, is the biggest riser this year, with a 116 percent wealth change.
Beijing is the preferred city of residence for most of those on the Hurun Rich List, with 12 entrants, followed by Shenzhen and Shanghai, with 9 and 5, respectively.
This is the 11th release of the ranking since it was launched in 2006.
