Large cities don't necessarily mean wealth and wellbeing. Smaller cities may give you a better life.
China Economic Net, (CE.cn), a large economic news portal, has released the latest ranking of the top 20 richest cities in China. Surprisingly, large cities, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen didn't make it.
Instead of measuring the economic aggregates of cities, the list is based on their GDP per capita, living standards and the happiness quotient of local people.
On this criteria, Dongguan, one of the four most vibrant cities of Guangdong Province, won the title of the richest Chinese city, followed by Xinjiang's Karamay and Jiangsu's Suzhou.
