The Lotte World Tower is a 123-floor, 556-metre skyscraper currently under construction in the second-generation Lotte World complex in Seoul, South Korea. Once completed, it will be the tallest building on the Korean Peninsula, as well as the fourth-tallest building in the world. Its observation deck is expected to be the world's tallest.
After 13 years of planning and site preparation, the tower gained final approval by the government in November 2010. The construction began in March 2011 and is expected to finish in 2016. In the form of a slender cone with convex, gently curved sides, the building will contain retail outlets (floors 1-6), offices (floors 7-60), residences (floors 61-85), a luxury hotel (floors 86-119), and a public access area (floors 120-123) with an observation deck.
