A new report, jointly released by China Tourism Academy and China Meteorological Administration, shows Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province, and widely known as China's "spring city," is the best place in the country to escape the summer heat this August.
The survey, now in its third year, named Harbin of Heilongjiang Province and Changchun of Jilin Province in second and third place.
The ranking is based on local climate, tourism development, and data collected from 359 monitoring stations around the country. A total of 60 Chinese cities are covered. In addition to temperature, the accommodation available, facilities, service and safety are also considered.
The following are the top 10 summer resorts in reverse order.
