West Lake |
Located west of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, West Lake is a fresh water lake renowned for its natural surroundings and illustrious history. Its beauty has earned the lake the reputation of a "paradise on earth." Numerous temples, pagodas, and gardens line the lake's shores and fill its man-made islands. The lake is divided into 11 sections flaunting over 100 scenic spots! West Lake was made a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2011, and was described as "over time having influenced garden design across China as well as Japan and Korea."
