The Clinton family
The Clinton couple is considered the most prominent family in the United States. Bill Clinton, born William Jefferson Blythe III in 1946, took office from 1993 to 2001 as the 42nd president of the U.S. Before becoming president, he was the governor of Arkansas for five, two-year terms, serving from 1979 to 1981 and from 1983 to 1992. He was also the state's attorney general from 1977 to 1979. His wife Hillary Rodham Clinton is a former U.S. secretary of state, serving under President Barack Obama from January 2009 to February 2013. She was a leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in the 2008 election.
