Located in Guangzhou City of China, the theater was designed by Zaha Hadid, a famous Iraqi-British architect who received the Pritzker Architecture Prize. The opera house was created with asymmetry, featuring superb sound effects. The roof was embedded with numerous light bulbs, resembling the night sky with its countless stars. It is the biggest and the best performance center in all of southern China. By the end of June, 2012, it had received 600 world class performances, including the classic operas "Tosca," "Turandot" and the more recent "Mamma Mia."
