With a history of more than 300 years, the Berlin University of the Arts is one of the biggest, most diversified and traditional universities of the arts worldwide. Since the 1960s, the college has grown into an institution of higher learning which combines arts and art-related science, a unique feature in Europe. More than 40 courses are offered at its four colleges: Fine Art, Design, Music and Performing Arts. The College of Fine Arts is one of the four pillars of the university.
