Typhoon Nancy(臺(tái)風(fēng)南施)
The typhoon Nancy was an extremely powerful tropical cyclone during the Pacific typhoon season of 1961. It took shape on Sept. 7 and lasted for 10 days. Its one-minute sustained winds were measured at 215 mph (345 km/h), the fastest in recording history.
Nancy caused extensive damage in Japan and elsewhere, killing at least 191 and leaving behind thousands of injured.
