Dayi Villa has topped the latest list of top 10 luxury villas in China released by President Magazine, World Real Estate Academy and World Entrepreneur Group. This is the 10th time that the list has been released.
Rich people in China prefer to purchase luxury villas when it comes to the consumption of luxury goods. The list based on the Luxury Estate Index, which is developed by organizers, includes six indexes: location, natural resources, architectural design, human values, construction materials, safety and privacy, according to the report.
Most of the villas are located in big cities. Three are located in Shanghai, three in Beijing, and the four others are respectively located in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chengdu and Dalian.
However, the average price of the top 10 luxury villas in China is 187 million yuan (US$ 30.5 million), while the average price of the world's most luxury houses is US$193 million. China is still far below the average price due to air pollution, smaller sizes and inferior designs and building materials.
