Located on Zhongshan 7th Road in Guangzhou City, Chen Clan Academy is a well-preserved folk house from the Qing Dynasty. Construction began in the 14th year of Guangxu Reign (1888) and finished in the 20th year of Guangxi Reign (1894). Covering an area of 6400 square meters, it consists of 19 buildings with nine halls and six courtyards. It is famous for exquisite wood carvings and stone engravings, as well as its interior decorations. It is an immovable cultural relic under the protection of the State Council.
