Zhang Xianguang 張顯光
Zhang Xianguang, born in 1965, was executed immediately after a public trial announced his death penalty on Dec. 1, 2006 in Shenyang, capital city of Liaoning Province. He was charged of killing 8 people and injuring 11 on Jan. 18, 2003 during the armed robbery of a cash-in-transit at a bank branch in Shenyang with a meticulously-planned explosion. This time he and his two brothers took away a huge amount of 1.97 million yuan (US$238,000).
Yet this was not Zhang's first crime. Since 1990, Zhang had killed a total of 10 and robbed 3.1 million yuan (US$375,000). He even stabbed his ex-girlfriend's husband to death out of revenge. Zhang went down his renegade road, and fled to Qiqihar in May 2003. He was caught three years later.
