American sportsman Edward "Eddie" Patrick Francis Eagan now remains the only person to win gold medals in both seasons of Olympic Games. He became the boxing champion in the light-heavyweight division during the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, and won another gold medal in the bobsleigh four-man competition during the 1932 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid.
