Legendary Milan player Carlo Ancelotti has a great eye for club management. During his stay with Milan as its manager, he led the club to win two Champions League trophies in 2003 and 2007, which he had also won twice himself in 1989 and 1990 when playing for the club. After managing the likes of Parma, Juventus and Milan, Ancelotti began to manage Chelsea in May 2009. In 2010, he led Chelsea to their first Premier League and FA Cup double wins. However, after an uneven League season in which Chelsea failed to re-capture the title, he was dismissed in May 2011.
In December 2011, he signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with ambitious French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), earning him an annual salary of about €6 million, the highest amount for a coach recorded in Ligue 1's history. On 21 March 2012, Ancelotti suffered his first defeat as PSG manager when the club suffered a 3–1 home defeat to Olympique Lyonnais during the French Cup quarter-finals.
