The National Carnival of Saint Kitts and Nevis, or Sugar Mas, is the biggest and the most exciting event in this two-island nation in the West Indies. Since 1970s, the carnival has been held annually from late November through early January. During this month-long festival, various colorful and interesting programs, competitions and parades are organized, including Carnival Prince and Princess Show, National Carnival Queen Pageant, the Caribbean Talented Teen Pageant, National Calypso Monarch Finals, Carnival Fun Walk and the exceptional Grand New Year's Day Parade. This year, the carnival will run from Nov. 25 to Jan. 3, 2012. Don't hesitate, just go and join the crazy locals.
