Rafael Benítez, born in 1960, is a Spanish football manager and former player. He is currently unemployed, after leaving as manager of Internazionale. Benítez played football throughout his youth and joined Real Madrid’s coaching staff at 26, working as the under-19 and reserve team coach and assistant manager for the senior team. In July 2004, Benítez became manager of Liverpool, guiding the team to win UEFA Champions League in 2005, UEFA Super Cup in 2005, FA Community Shield in 2006, and FA Cup in 2006. After leaving Liverpool, he joined Internazionale and led them to win Supercoppa Italiana and FIFA Club World Cup.
