Kundera uses humor and irony when describing human thoughts and emotions. The stories may appear simple on the surface, but his novels are rich and compelling.Milan Kundera is a Czech writer who is best known for his works The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Book of Laughter and Forgetting, and The Joke.
Kundera has won numerous prizes including the Jerusalem Prize, the Austrian State Prize for European Literature, the international Herder Prize and the Czech State Literature Prize.
Kundera made 6 million yuan (0.9 million US dollars) in royalties in the Chinese mainland over the past ten years through 2010.
