Defending champions Australia overcame China 96-79 to claim the FIBA U18 Women's Asia Cup title again on Sunday.
Zhang Ziyu had 42 points and 14 rebounds for China, only to see four Australian players score in double-digits to upset the home fans.
Zhang went just 18-of-36 from the floor and made only half of her 12 shots from the free-throw line against Australia's stout defense.
The 17-year-old was awarded MVP of the event after the final.
"It was an important match for me. I had regrets, but it was also a good opportunity for me to improve myself. I hope I can do better next time," Zhang said.
Australia led 49-42 in the first half. After the break, Zhang led an 8-0 run to take the lead for the hosts before Saffron Shiels scored five straight points to retake the advantage for Australia. Australia's 12-0 run in the last quarter helped seal the victory.
