The three-day FIA Asia-Pacific Rally Championship China Rally Longyou 2018 concluded at 3 p.m. on Oct. 21 in Longyou, Zhejiang province.
The event was the11th international auto sports competition and the 14th national one held in Longyou.
During the three days, the race featured 85 automobiles from 33 rally teams of China, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Estonia, and so on.
After a fierce competition, the No. 8 car from the Faw-Volkswagen Rally Team driven by Karl Kruuda and Dale Moscatt emerged as the champion. The No. 9 car from the same team driven by Chen De'an and Wangyang claimed the second place, and the No. 3 car from Subaru Rally Team China driven by Fan Gaoxiang and Yue Cailei placed third.
Second place driver Chen said that having attended all previous rallies events in Longyou, he was very familiar with the stages. But he admitted that the competition was fiercer this year, so he was very delighted and excited about the result.
Fan, driver of Subaru Rally Team China, said that he was very lucky to be able to finish the race, and the challenging tracks deserve the reputations they enjoy. He added he will attend the race in Longyou as long as there is one and as long as he is not retired.
