The United States cemented its position at the top of Group B of the 2010 World Basketball Championships with a crushing 88-51 defeat against Iran on Wednesday.
The evening match, which took place in Istanbul's Abdi Ipekci Arena, put the undefeated US side against a weak Iran who tailed in the group.
Iran was left behind throughout, with the gap being widen each quarter.
However, the game's top scorer was Iran's Hamed Haddadi, who plays in the NBA for the Memphis Grizzlies, scoring 19 points including five free throws.
Kevin Love scored the most for the US squad with 13 points.
The United States, at the top of the group, will likely keep the position after its final group match Thursday against Tunisia.
