Editor's note:
"The Countless Aspects of Beauty in Ancient Art," an exhibition jointly organized by the National Museum of China and the Hellenic National Archaeological Museum, is currently underway in Beijing.
The exhibition explores the theme of "Beauty" through a non-traditional lens, focusing on "Daily Life," "Adornment" and "The Human Body" instead of just historical periods. With 279 artifacts spanning 5,000 years on display — including pottery, bronzes, gold items, glassware, frescoes and sculptures — it also challenges the stereotype that "ancient Greece = classical Greece."
