Next decade will see exports from the Middle East and Africa grow by 12 percent, Xinhua reported, quoting an Ernst and Young report published on Tuesday.
E&Y predicted the region is on the way to succeed China as a key manufacturing hub for low cost goods.
The global consultancy firm said that while China is still very competitive, rising wages are opening up opportunities for Africa and the Middle East.
