Coca-Cola Shanxi Beverages Co. Ltd. on Friday announced the resignation of its general manager and the suspension of several employees after admitting that traces of chlorine were found in some of its drinks, Xinhua reported.

The company also made a public apology and said it has taken active corrective measures as the chlorine was mistakenly added during a routine pipe maintenance procedure.

David G. Brooks, president of Coca-Cola Greater China and Korea said consumers who have bought the suspect drinks could exchange them for new ones or ask for a refund.

據新華社報道，在承認可樂含氯水事件后，可口可樂山西公司于周五宣布，山西公司總經理已因此事辭職，相關人員已經被停職。

同時，可口可樂公司正式道歉，表示會采取積極措施補救。公司承認，山西廠在進行管道維護過程中，由于工人操作失誤，將氯混入到飲料生產用水中。

可口可樂大中華及韓國區(qū)總裁魯大衛(wèi)稱，公司同意對產品有疑慮的消費者進行換貨或退貨。
