Wu Ye, a high school teacher in Zhumadian City, Henan Province, told Dahe.cn that if she gets married, her 90-year-old grandpa, who adopted her 28 years ago, will be included as an indispensible part of her dowry.
According to Wu Ye, her lonely grandpa has no children and can't live without her. She confirmed that she shaves him every other day and washes his hair once a week.
"Someone commented that it would be problematic if my grandpa lives with me after I get married," she said. "But I can't leave him. If my husband really loves me, he will accept my grandpa and I am sure I will meet such a guy some day."
