| Twitter has declined to comment on the claim, saying only: "To help users protect their rights, it's our policy to notify users about law enforcement and governmental requests for their information, unless we are prevented by law from doing so." Assange's lawyer, Mark Stephens, criticized the US government, saying it's intimidating people. "It's a great disappointment that the Department of Justice has stopped playing lawyers and started playing politics," Stephens said. |
