這兩次考題都是關(guān)于學(xué)校教育的目的及大學(xué)職能問題。本考題可以采用平衡等分的結(jié)構(gòu)布局,采用雙邊討論折中的方法來加以論證,討論雙方觀點之后再給出自己的觀點。下面就本題提供參考思路。
第一段:隨著大學(xué)畢業(yè)生就業(yè)壓力的增加,有人認為大學(xué)應(yīng)該以學(xué)生將來的工作為導(dǎo)向(career-oriented),應(yīng)根據(jù)就業(yè)教授學(xué)生實際知識和培養(yǎng)他們的實際技能(practical knowledge and skills),而有些人不同意這種看法,他們認為大學(xué)教育還有其他職能。我認為大學(xué)教育除了要教學(xué)生知識和實際知識和技能之外,還有其他的職能和目的。大學(xué)教育應(yīng)該培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的綜合能力(cultivating students' overall abilities)。
第二段:一方面大學(xué)教育應(yīng)該教學(xué)生工作中需要實際知識和技能,這樣可以使學(xué)生在工作初期具備優(yōu)勢,很快熟悉工作并進入工作狀態(tài)。
It is an indisputable fact that graduates who have received career education i.e. practical knowledge and skills can take a more dominant position in the early days of employment than those general education receivers.
第三段:有了實際知識和技能,學(xué)生也不一定就會有份好工作、好事業(yè)。全面發(fā)展的學(xué)生(overall-developed students)才能有更好的就業(yè)和發(fā)展前景。因此除了教授實際知識和技能外,大學(xué)教育還有其他的職能,培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的綜合能力。
A good command of practical knowledge and skills in the students' field of study doesn't necessarily guarantee a better future career.
