In the last three days, the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington D.C. presented the grand Chinese dance drama Forbidden Fruit Under the Great Wall. It's all part of the U.S. tour of the "Image China" show.
Forbidden Fruit Under the Great Wall tells the compelling story of the prosperous Yin Family whose Master dies, leaving behind an ailing widow and disabled son.
The family's butler schemes to steal the family fortune by arranging a marriage between the Yin boy and his own daughter Wild Jujube. In the end, the kind-hearted Jujube already in love with a young farm hand, is dragged into misery because of her father's poisonous intervention.
This magnificent award-winning production opened its first U.S tour at the Kennedy Center on December 10th for 4 shows in 3 days.
