The event, co-sponsored by the Chinese Consulate-General in Mumbai and Indian Council for Culture Relations, India-China Chamber of Commerce & Industry, observed the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between China and India.
In over one hour's performance, which was also viewed by officials of the Indian state of Maharashtra and consul generals of more than 10 countries in Mumbai, the members showed their excellent feats of balance, agility and coordination.
The event is an important part of Festival of China in India to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the India-China diplomatic relation, said Zhong Jifa, a cultural official in Chinese Embassy in India.
Li Xiangyang, Vice Consul-general of the Chinese Consulate- General in Mumbai, said the Chinese acrobatic show in Mumbai is expected to increase the mutual understanding of the two countries ' cultures and promote the friendship of the peoples of the two countries.
"CNAT, founded in 1953, is the best acrobatic unit in China and well known in the world. Our delegations visited many countries, and won dozens of gold medals," said Zhang Yusheng, head of the visiting delegation of CNAT, "the Mumbai show will last two days."
