Negotiations on climate change in Durban are resuming at 10:30 p.m. South African time after a short break. The next session might last till an "agreement is found," sources close to negotiators said.

"This might be 6:00 a.m. tomorrow (Saturday)... I don't know," a personal assistant to a chairperson of one negotiating group told Xinhua.

"I can't tell you what is the position of Africa Group now.. but will update you," the source said when Xinhua asked about position and mood of Africa Group of Negotiators (AGN).

Another source, who asked not to be named, is close to one country's chief negotiator and he confirmed the news.

Speaking at a press briefing on Thursday afternoon and at a Friday briefing, AGN chairperson Tosi Mpanu-Mpanu said "there is room of success" and Kyoto Protocol must not die in Africa.

"We believe there is room of success on (negations) we are willing to show leadership because its negotiations.. it's about give and take. We want the second commitment of Kyoto Protocol," Tosi Mpanu-Mpanu told journalists. "We don't want Durban to be the graveyard of the Kyoto Protocol," he said.
