Wu said that the IOC had made important contributions to international sports development, peace-keeping of the world and improvement of friendship among people all over the world.

Wu expressed gratitude to Rogge and the IOC for the strong support and suggestions they had provided to the preparations for the Beijing Olympic Games since the city was awarded the hosting right.

China will fulfill its promise and provide sound service to the Olympic family and the Olympic audience, said Wu.
