The two governments will provide convenient environment to boost bilateral trade and investment.

They also pledged in the communiqué to support each other on matters concerning sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Republic of Congo reiterated its adherence to the one-China policy, in recognition that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China's territory.

The Chinese side appreciated the efforts of the Congolese government, especially President Denis Sassou-Nguesso, in promoting regional peace and the role of the African Union.

The two sides decided to strengthen cooperation in international affairs and jointly safeguard the rights and interests of developing countries and promote world peace and development.

To enhance cooperation in the prevention and treatment of malaria, the Chinese government will provide anti-malaria drugs for the Republic of Congo.

The Chinese premier arrived in Brazzaville Monday afternoon and held talks with President Sassou-Nguesso and Prime Minister Isidore Mvouba, exchanging views on bilateral relations and issues of common interests.

Brazzaville is the third leg of Wen's seven-nation African trip, which has already taken him to Egypt and Ghana. Premier Wen will also visit Angola, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
