| Familiar Faces to Host Spring Festival Gala |

A well known group of popular China Central Television (CCTV) hosts will again be to the fore for the Spring Festival Gala Show in 2007, confirmed the ceremony's chief director.
Director Jin Yue said that six hosts....Zhu Jun, Zhou Tao, Li Yong, Dong Qing, Zhang Zequn and Liu Fangfei... all of whom were involved in last year's ceremony last year will again appear on the eve of the Chinese Lunar New Year. It falls on February 17 this year. Jin made the announcement following suggestions on the internet that great changes were being made to the lineup of hosts. The director revealed that the schedule for this year's ceremony was near completion and that a small part required revision. He's sure the famous comic Feng Gong will perform though Guo Degang, a favorite Beijing cross talk performer, is likely to be absent. Pop diva, Faye Wong, is also unlikely to attend since giving birth to a baby daughter. (Xinhua News Agency January 29, 2007) |
