System of Multiparty Cooperation and Political Consultation Under the Leadership of the CPC

The system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC is a basic political system practiced in China. It is a unique political party system, under which the CPC is the only governing party, and the eight other political parties accept the leadership of the CPC, work with the CPC, and participate in state governance. 

Under the CPC's leadership, the representatives from the eight other political parties, people's organizations, ethnic minority groups, and all walks of life engage in consultations on major policies and principles and important issues regarding the country's political, economic, cultural and social activities before decisions are made and during the implementation of relevant decisions.

In handling its relationships with the eight political parties, the CPC follows the principles of long-term coexistence, mutual oversight, sincerity, and sharing weal or woe. As stated in the Constitution, the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC will continue and develop long into the future.

中國共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的多黨合作和政治協(xié)商制度是中華人民共和國的一項基本的政治制度，是中國新型政黨制度。中國共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的多黨合作制度基本內(nèi)涵包括，中國共產(chǎn)黨是中華人民共和國的唯一執(zhí)政黨，八個民主黨派在接受中國共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的前提下，具有參政黨的地位，與中共合作，參與國家治理。政治協(xié)商制度是在中國共產(chǎn)黨的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，各民主黨派、各人民團體、各少數(shù)民族和社會各界的代表，對國家的大政方針以及政治、經(jīng)濟、文化和社會生活中的重要問題在決策之前舉行協(xié)商和就決策執(zhí)行過程中的重要問題進行協(xié)商的制度。

中國共產(chǎn)黨與各民主黨派合作的基本方針是：長期共存，互相監(jiān)督，肝膽相照，榮辱與共。《中華人民共和國憲法》規(guī)定：中國共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的多黨合作和政治協(xié)商制度將長期存在和發(fā)展。
