Political Consultation

According to the Regulations of the CPC on Political Consultation, the CPC conducts consultation with the eight other political parties and representative individuals from all sectors of society regarding major policies and guidelines of the Party and the state, important issues in the country's economic and social development, and other key matters.

Political consultation is an important component of the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC. It is a primary means of socialist consultative democracy and an effective way to pool wisdom, increase consensus, and promote decision-making in a sound, democratic fashion.

There are two basic forms of political consultation: consultation among the political parties and through the CPPCC. The former involves direct consultation between the CPC and other political parties and prominent individuals without party affiliation. The latter refers to consultation between the CPC and other political parties and representatives from all walks of life through the CPPCC.

政治協(xié)商

《中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨政治協(xié)商工作條例》指出，政治協(xié)商，是在中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨同各民主黨派和各界代表人士圍繞黨和國(guó)家大政方針、經(jīng)濟(jì)社會(huì)發(fā)展重要問(wèn)題以及其他重要事項(xiàng)開(kāi)展的協(xié)商。政治協(xié)商是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的多黨合作和政治協(xié)商制度的重要組成部分，是社會(huì)主義協(xié)商民主的重要形式，是凝聚智慧、增進(jìn)共識(shí)、促進(jìn)科學(xué)民主決策的重要途徑。

政治協(xié)商的基本方式是政黨協(xié)商和人民政協(xié)政治協(xié)商。政黨協(xié)商，即中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨同各民主黨派、無(wú)黨派人士直接開(kāi)展的協(xié)商。人民政協(xié)政治協(xié)商，即中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨在人民政協(xié)同各民主黨派和各界代表人士開(kāi)展的協(xié)商。
