The Chinese nation's fondness for equality, mutual learn- ing, dialogue, and inclusiveness among civilizations reinforces its lofty ideal of pursuing the common good and farsighted vision in appreciating diversity. President Xi Jinping deeply understands that "Diversity of human civilizations not only defines our world, but also drives progress of mankind," and since the 18th CPC National Congress, he has been stressing that "Civilizations become richer and more colorful through exchange and mutual learning" and advocating equality, mutual learning, dialogue and inclusiveness among civilizations. He has promoted the common values of humankind, which are also embodied in Chinese civilization, to promote construction of a global community of shared future.

The history of social development is one of coexistence and parallel progress among various civilizations. The ability to seek common ground while setting aside differences, practice openness and inclusiveness, and conduct exchange and mutual learning are vital to the prosperity of civilization and human progress. 平等、互鑒、對話、包容的文明觀，展現(xiàn)了中華文明“天下為公”的博大情懷和“美美與共”的遠(yuǎn)見卓識。中共十八大以來，習(xí)近平深刻把握“人類文明多樣性是世界的基本特征，也是人類進(jìn)步的源泉”的基本規(guī)律，提出“文明因交流而多彩，文明因互鑒而豐富”的重要論斷，倡導(dǎo)弘揚(yáng)平等、互鑒、對話、包容的文明觀，弘揚(yáng)中華文明蘊(yùn)含的全人類共同價(jià)值，推動構(gòu)建人類命運(yùn)共同體。
