Qinshan Nuclear Power Plant
Construction of the first indigenously designed 300 MWe pressurized water reactor started in Qinshan, Zhejiang on March 20, 1985. The reactor was successfully connected to the power grid on December 15, 1991. The completion of this project marked the beginning of China's nuclear power development and was celebrated as "a proud achievement". Since the unit was put into operation, more than 130 technical modifications have been made to turn the prototype reactor into a commercial reactor. The reactor has an impressive record of safe continuous operation for 469 days. Its 18.12-day overhaul time is the shortest in China. And it has improved its ranking in WANO composite index year by year and ranked first in the world twice among similar units.
秦山核電站
