ACP100 Demonstration Project
The Chinese government provides strong support for the development and commercial use of small modular reactors (SMRs) in order to leverage nuclear energy in clean heating supply, industrial steam supply, seawater desalination, hydrogen production by electrolyzing water with surplus electricity, isotope production and refrigeration. CNNC launched an ACP100 reactor research project in 2010. In April 2016, ACP100 became the world's first SMR design to have passed IAEA's Generic Reactor Safety Review (GRSR). On July 18, 2019, CNNC announced the launch of a multi-purpose ACP100 demonstration project in Hainan Province. The project involves a reactor that has a thermal power of 385 MWt, an electric power of 160 MWe, and a volume of 14 m×10 m×10 m, using integrated reactor design, a passive safety system and an improved system for severe accident prevention and mitigation, with safety features reaching the level of Gen III nuclear energy systems. Smaller scale, lower capital cost and shorter construction period make it an attractive option.
“玲龍一號(hào)”示范工程
為發(fā)揮核能在清潔供暖、工業(yè)供汽、海水淡化、余電制氫、同位素生產(chǎn)、制冷等方面的優(yōu)勢(shì),中國(guó)政府積極支持小型堆技術(shù)的開(kāi)發(fā)應(yīng)用。中核集團(tuán)于2010年正式啟動(dòng)模塊化小型堆“玲龍一號(hào)”專項(xiàng)科研工作。2016年4月“玲龍一號(hào)”成為全球首個(gè)通過(guò)國(guó)際原子能機(jī)構(gòu)通用安全審查的小型堆。2019年7月18日,中核集團(tuán)在海南宣布啟動(dòng)中國(guó)多功能模塊化小型堆“玲龍一號(hào)”示范工程。該反應(yīng)堆熱功率為385MWt,電功率為160MWe,體積為14m×10m×10m,采用一體化反應(yīng)堆設(shè)計(jì)和非能動(dòng)安全系統(tǒng),具備比較完善的嚴(yán)重事故預(yù)防與緩解措施,其安全性達(dá)到第三代核能系統(tǒng)技術(shù)水平。更小的規(guī)模、更低的資本成本和更短的建設(shè)周期,使其頗具吸引力。
