Living Up to Expectation and Forging Ahead 

The Chinese government gives priority to the balance of development and has been committed to narrowing the gap between eastern and western regions. Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the government has been increasing support for and investment in western provinces including Guizhou. President Xi Jinping has visited Guizhou on many occasions, meeting officials and people of all ethnic groups there and offering important instructions on the province's endeavors. He has pointed the way for the development of Guizhou, laying down general principles and guidelines. He has also expressed his support and expectations for local officials and people.

Cherishing the support and trust they have received, the people of Guizhou are committed to following the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. They keep firmly in mind what President Xi has envisioned for the province, sparing no effort in promoting leapfrog development economically and socially. Today, the people of Guizhou feel more fulfilled, happy and secure than ever before. 

Since the 18th CPC National Congress, Guizhou has lifted 9.23 million people out of poverty and created moderate prosperity for more than 40 million people, ranking among the country's top three provinces by economic growth rate for ten consecutive years. The leapfrogging of the province gives vivid expression to the advantages of the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and to the fact that the benefits of development are equitably shared by all the people in the country.

中國政府注重內(nèi)部發(fā)展平衡,致力于縮小東西部差距。中共十八大以來,國家持續(xù)對(duì)貴州等西部省份加大支持力度和投入強(qiáng)度。習(xí)近平多次親臨貴州視察指導(dǎo),看望慰問各族干部群眾,對(duì)貴州工作作出重要指示批示,為貴州發(fā)展確立了總遵循、總綱領(lǐng)、總指針,表達(dá)出對(duì)貴州各族干部群眾的特殊關(guān)懷、特別厚愛和殷切期望。

中共十八大以來,貴州省923萬貧困人口全部脫貧,全省4000多萬各族人民實(shí)現(xiàn)了全面同步小康的目標(biāo),實(shí)現(xiàn)了連續(xù)保持全國經(jīng)濟(jì)增速前三位趕超跨越“黃金十年”。貴州的跨越式發(fā)展,生動(dòng)體現(xiàn)了中國特色社會(huì)主義的制度優(yōu)勢,體現(xiàn)了同在一個(gè)國度的所有人民都能共享發(fā)展成果的公平正義。
