The Chinese Path of Building Strong Armed Forces 

China is applying its own unique approach to developing the military in the new era.  

China's unique approach to strengthening the military calls for the CPC's absolute leadership over the people's armed forces, which adhere to its nature, purpose and character. 

It is essential to implement Xi Jinping thought on strengthening the military, raise political awareness, proceed with necessary reform, develop science and technology, build talent, and improve law-based governance. Also critical are measures to enhance the capabilities to win wars and perform the missions in the new era by leveraging new technologies, integrate mechanization and informationization, speed up development of intelligent military, build a unique modern military force structure, and improve the military system with Chinese features. China's strategic goal is to develop a world-class military.
