Military Honors System 

In his report to the 19th CPC National Congress, Xi Jinping unveiled a plan to develop the military honors system ensuring that service members are held in high regard. Measures to ensure respect for service members are considered necessary to attract more qualified people into military services and develop service personnel's dedication and sense of honor, so as to provide better cohesion, increase retention, and boost morale. Such measures should include, among others, better veteran services, preferential policies for military personnel, tributes to families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice, efforts to raise public awareness about the importance of national defense, creation of a military awards system, organization of major military ceremonies and events, and nurture of an inspiring military culture. 

構(gòu)建完善軍人榮譽體系

2017年10月18日，習(xí)近平在中國共產(chǎn)黨第十九次全國代表大會的報告中提出，推進軍人榮譽體系建設(shè)，讓軍人成為全社會尊崇的職業(yè)。軍人榮譽體系建設(shè)，旨在增強軍事職業(yè)吸引力和軍人使命感、榮譽感，以更好凝聚軍心、穩(wěn)定部隊、鼓舞士氣，主要包括加強退役軍人保障工作、完善軍人優(yōu)待政策、健全烈士褒揚機制、加強全民國防教育、完善軍隊獎勵表彰制度、規(guī)范軍隊重要儀式活動、強化軍營文化熏陶等內(nèi)容。
