Asia-Pacific Partnership

The Asia-Pacific is the region with the most potential and vigor in economy and trade, and APEC is playing a leading role in regional economic integration and economic globalization. Since its founding in 1989, APEC has promoted free and open trade and investment, and economic and technological cooperation among members. Impressive successes have been achieved in these aspects. As the largest, highest- level mechanism for economic cooperation in this region, APEC serves as an important platform for policy exchange and economic cooperation in the Asia-Pacific sphere. As a major pillar for global economic integration it is exercising profound and far-reaching influence on the global economy and trade.

China has been an active player in APEC activities, and is willing to do more to promote growth. At the opening of the 22nd APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting in November 2014 in Beijing, Xi Jinping made a speech entitled "Shaping the Future Through Asia-Pacific Partnership." He said, "We are all members of the APEC community. It meets the common interests of us all to foster an open economy in the Asia-Pacific featuring innovative development, interconnected growth and converging interests. To achieve this goal, all the economies in the region need to work together to build an Asia-Pacific partnership of mutual trust, inclusiveness, cooperation and win-win progress, and this will inject new energy into the economic development of both the Asia-Pacific and the world." To this end, he made four proposals: jointly charting the course for future development, jointly meeting global challenges, jointly building cooperation platforms, and jointly pursuing interconnected development.

共建面向未來的亞太伙伴關(guān)系

亞太是全球經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易最具潛力和活力的地區(qū)，亞太經(jīng)合組織對(duì)推動(dòng)區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)一體化和經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化發(fā)揮著重要的引領(lǐng)作用。自1989年成立以來，亞太經(jīng)合組織始終秉持開放的區(qū)域主義精神，積極推動(dòng)亞太地區(qū)貿(mào)易投資自由化和便利化，加強(qiáng)成員間的經(jīng)濟(jì)技術(shù)合作，取得了累累碩果。亞太經(jīng)合組織作為本地區(qū)規(guī)模最大、層次最高的區(qū)域經(jīng)濟(jì)合作組織，不僅是亞太地區(qū)政策交流和經(jīng)濟(jì)合作的重要平臺(tái)，也是全球經(jīng)濟(jì)一體化的重要支柱之一，對(duì)全球經(jīng)濟(jì)貿(mào)易走向正產(chǎn)生日益重大而深遠(yuǎn)的影響。中國一貫高度重視并積極參與亞太經(jīng)合組織合作，愿在新時(shí)期為促進(jìn)亞太經(jīng)合組織發(fā)展作出更大貢獻(xiàn)。2014年11月，在亞太經(jīng)合組織第二十二次領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人非正式會(huì)議上，習(xí)近平發(fā)表了題為“共建面向未來的亞太伙伴關(guān)系”的開幕辭。習(xí)近平強(qiáng)調(diào)，亞太經(jīng)合組織是一個(gè)大家庭，打造發(fā)展創(chuàng)新、增長(zhǎng)聯(lián)動(dòng)、利益融合的開放型亞太經(jīng)濟(jì)格局，符合所有成員共同利益。為了實(shí)現(xiàn)上述目標(biāo)，亞太經(jīng)濟(jì)體需要共同構(gòu)建互信、包容、合作、共贏的亞太伙伴關(guān)系，為亞太地區(qū)和世界經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展增添動(dòng)力。為此，他還提出四點(diǎn)建議：共同規(guī)劃發(fā)展愿景，共同應(yīng)對(duì)全球性挑戰(zhàn)，共同打造合作平臺(tái)，共同謀求聯(lián)動(dòng)發(fā)展。
