Harmony Between Man and Nature

Preserving and protecting the natural environment is vital to China’s survival. This is why harmony between man and nature has been made one of the basic policies for upholding and developing socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era.

The report to the 19th National Congress stressed that it is important to understand that “green mountains are gold mountains,” and this understanding must be put into practice that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets and act on this understanding. As part of our basic national policy, we will step up efforts to conserve resources and protect the environment in the same manner as we protect our own lives. A holistic approach is critical to conservation programs aimed at protecting our mountains, rivers, forests, farmlands, lakes, and grasslands. Most stringent measures are necessary for fragile ecosystems. We will ensure that economic growth and prosperity will not come at the expense of the environment. Environmental considerations will always inform our development efforts. We will continue to implement the Beautiful China initiative and create a better working and living environment for the people. In so doing, we are also contributing to global ecological security.

人與自然和諧共生

建設(shè)生態(tài)文明是中華民族永續(xù)發(fā)展的千年大計(jì)。因此，“堅(jiān)持人與自然的和諧共生”成為新時(shí)代堅(jiān)持和發(fā)展中國(guó)特色社會(huì)主義基本方略之一。中共十九大報(bào)告強(qiáng)調(diào)，必須樹(shù)立和踐行綠水青山就是金山銀山的理念，堅(jiān)持節(jié)約資源和保護(hù)環(huán)境的基本國(guó)策，像對(duì)待生命一樣對(duì)待生態(tài)環(huán)境；統(tǒng)籌山水林田湖草系統(tǒng)治理，實(shí)行最嚴(yán)格的生態(tài)環(huán)境保護(hù)制度，形成綠色發(fā)展方式和生活方式；堅(jiān)定走生產(chǎn)發(fā)展、生活富裕、生態(tài)良好的文明發(fā)展道路，建設(shè)美麗中國(guó)，為人民創(chuàng)造良好生產(chǎn)生活環(huán)境，為全球生態(tài)安全作出貢獻(xiàn)。
