"Four Consciousnesses"

On January 29, 2016, the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee publicly spelled out for the first time the “Four Consciousnesses”: being always conscious of political correctness, of the broader picture, of the core leadership, and of staying aligned with the core. Alignment in thinking, political unity and unison in action have been essential to the continuing development and growth of the CPC’s endeavors. It would be unthinkable and unworkable for such a large Party and such a large nation to be without centralized unity, strong Party leadership, and powerful central authority.

The greatest strength of socialism with Chinese characteristics is leadership of the Party, and the key to strengthening it is to maintain the centralized and unified leadership of the Party’s Central Committee. The only way for the Party to become stronger and more united, and for it to always be the strong core leader of Chinese socialism, is for Party members to reinforce their consciousness of political correctness, the broader picture, the core leadership, and alignment with the core, and for them to always be aware of staying in close unison in both thoughts and deeds with the Party Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core. These “Four Consciousnesses” cannot be given lip service – they must be implemented in actions.

“四個(gè)意識”

2016年1月29日，中共中央政治局會議首次公開提出增強(qiáng)政治意識、大局意識、核心意識、看齊意識這“四個(gè)意識”。思想上的統(tǒng)一、政治上的團(tuán)結(jié)、行動(dòng)上的一致是中國共產(chǎn)黨的事業(yè)不斷發(fā)展壯大的根本所在。這么大一個(gè)黨、一個(gè)國家，沒有集中統(tǒng)一，沒有黨中央堅(jiān)強(qiáng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)，沒有強(qiáng)有力的中央權(quán)威，是不行的、不可想象的。中國共產(chǎn)黨領(lǐng)導(dǎo)是中國特色社會主義制度的最大優(yōu)勢，加強(qiáng)黨的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)關(guān)鍵是堅(jiān)持黨中央集中統(tǒng)一領(lǐng)導(dǎo)。只有增強(qiáng)政治意識、大局意識、核心意識、看齊意識，自覺在思想上政治上行動(dòng)上同以習(xí)近平同志為核心的黨中央保持高度一致，才能使黨更加團(tuán)結(jié)統(tǒng)一、堅(jiān)強(qiáng)有力，始終成為中國特色社會主義事業(yè)的堅(jiān)強(qiáng)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)核心?！八膫€(gè)意識”不能只停留在口頭表態(tài)上，要切實(shí)落實(shí)到行動(dòng)上。
