The Chinese Dream

President Xi Jinping first explained his vision of the Chinese Dream on November 29, 2012,when visiting the exhibition “The Path to National Renewal”. National renewal has been the greatest dream of the Chinese people since the beginning of modern times. It is a dream that spans generations, a dream that reflects our national interests, a dream embraced by every Chinese.

We will strive to complete the building of a moderatelyprosperoussociety by 2021 when the CPC celebrates its one hundredth birthday, and to make China a modern socialist country that is strong, democratic, culturally advanced, and harmonious by 2049, the one hundredth anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic. That is what our dream of national renewal is all about.

In essence, the Chinese Dream is a commitment to bring prosperity and happiness to our country, our nation and our people. It is a dream of our country, our nation, and our people. To make our dream come true, we must follow the Chinese path to development, elevate the Chinese spirit, and boost national cohesion.

The Chinese Dream is a dream of peace, development, cooperation and prosperity for all, benefiting not only the Chinese people but also the people of the rest of the world. Only by staying focused on achieving real results and making sustained and unwavering efforts can we bring our dream to fruition. The Chinese Dream is not a flower reflected in a mirror or a moon reflected in water. It is not an empty slogan. The goal of the CPC corresponds to the people’s yearning for a better life and a brighter future.

2012年11月29日，習(xí)近平在參觀《復(fù)興之路》展覽時(shí)發(fā)表講話首次提出中國(guó)夢(mèng)。實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興，就是中華民族近代以來(lái)最偉大的夢(mèng)想。這個(gè)夢(mèng)想，凝聚了幾代中國(guó)人的夙愿，體現(xiàn)了中華民族和中國(guó)人民的整體利益，是每一個(gè)中華兒女的共同期盼。到2021年中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨成立一百年時(shí)全面建成小康社會(huì)，到2049年中華人民共和國(guó)成立一百年時(shí)建成富強(qiáng)民主文明和諧的社會(huì)主義現(xiàn)代化國(guó)家，實(shí)現(xiàn)中華民族偉大復(fù)興的夢(mèng)想。中國(guó)夢(mèng)基本內(nèi)涵是實(shí)現(xiàn)國(guó)家富強(qiáng)、民族振興、人民幸福。中國(guó)夢(mèng)是國(guó)家的、民族的，也是每一個(gè)中國(guó)人的。中國(guó)夢(mèng)歸根到底是人民的夢(mèng)。實(shí)現(xiàn)中國(guó)夢(mèng)必須走中國(guó)道路，弘揚(yáng)中國(guó)精神，凝聚中國(guó)力量。中國(guó)夢(mèng)是和平、發(fā)展、合作、共贏的夢(mèng)，不僅造福中國(guó)人民，也同各國(guó)人民的美好夢(mèng)想息息相通。實(shí)干才能夢(mèng)想成真。中國(guó)夢(mèng)不是鏡中花、水中月，不是空洞的口號(hào)。人民對(duì)美好生活的向往就是中國(guó)共產(chǎn)黨的奮斗目標(biāo)。
