A New Model of International Relations
On September 28, 2015, Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke for the first time at the United Nations Headquarters. He elaborated to an international audience his concept of building a new model of international relations based on cooperation for the benefit of all.
He said: "We should renew our commitment to the purposes and principles of the Charter of the United Nations, build a new model of international relations based on cooperation for the benefit of all, and create a community of shared future for mankind." He called on the international community to build partnerships based on equality, consultation and mutual understanding, to create a security architecture that is fair, just, and shared by all, to pursue open, innovative, and inclusive development that benefits all, to increase inter-civilizational exchanges that promote harmony in diversity and are mutually enriching, and to encourage ecological conservation and protection, putting Mother Nature and green development first.
Building a new model of international relations is China's answer to tackling the key issues crucial to the future of humankind, such as peace and development. A focus on cooperation in search of win-win solutions embodies China's commitment to world peace, development, fairness, justice, democracy, and freedom – values cherished by humanity and informing the lofty mission of the United Nations.
新型國(guó)際關(guān)系
2015年9月28日，在世界反法西斯戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)勝利和聯(lián)合國(guó)成立70周年之際，中國(guó)國(guó)家主席習(xí)近平首次登上聯(lián)合國(guó)講臺(tái)，向世界清晰闡述了以合作共贏為核心的新型國(guó)際關(guān)系理念。他提出，“我們要繼承和弘揚(yáng)聯(lián)合國(guó)憲章的宗旨和原則，構(gòu)建以合作共贏為核心的新型國(guó)際關(guān)系，打造人類命運(yùn)共同體?！苯⑵降认啻⒒ド袒フ彽幕锇殛P(guān)系，營(yíng)造公道正義、共建共享的安全格局，謀求開(kāi)放創(chuàng)新、包容互惠的發(fā)展前景，促進(jìn)和而不同、兼收并蓄的文明交流，構(gòu)筑尊崇自然、綠色發(fā)展的生態(tài)體系，上述“五位一體”，構(gòu)成了新型國(guó)際關(guān)系的主要體系。構(gòu)建新型國(guó)際關(guān)系，是中國(guó)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人對(duì)攸關(guān)人類前途命運(yùn)的諸如和平與發(fā)展等關(guān)鍵問(wèn)題給出的中國(guó)答案。以合作共贏為核心，蘊(yùn)含著對(duì)實(shí)現(xiàn)世界和平、發(fā)展、公平、正義、民主、自由等全人類共同價(jià)值的關(guān)懷，亦是對(duì)聯(lián)合國(guó)崇高目標(biāo)的深刻思考。
