Jakarta-Bandung railway
The Jakarta-Bandung railway is Indonesia’s first high-speed rail project. The planned 150-kilometer-long rail line will link Indonesia’s capital Jakarta to its fourth largest city, Bandung. Chinese businesses will participate in funding and construction. The line has a design speed of 250-300 kilometers per hour, and is to be built with Chinese technology and equipment to meet Chinese standards. The travel time from Jakarta to Bandung is expected to be shortened to about 40 minutes after the completion of the project.
An agreement was reached on October 16, 2015 between China Railway International Co Ltd and four Indonesian state-owned enterprises to establish a Chinese-Indonesian consortium tasked to construct and operate the line. The project represents an innovative approach to international cooperation, with businesses from both countries involved under the sponsorship of the two governments. A groundbreaking ceremony for the project was held on January 21, 2016.
The rail link is expected to stimulate growth in such sectors as metallurgy, manufacturing, infrastructure, power generation and logistics, create jobs, and promote structural transformation in Indonesia. It will, in particular, facilitate travel, expand business opportunities and promote tourism along the rail line. It will also provide a sound basis for further cooperation between China and Indonesia in such fields as infrastructure development and trade.
雅萬鐵路
雅萬鐵路是中國企業(yè)參與投資建設(shè)的印度尼西亞首條高速鐵路,從該國首都雅加達至第四大城市萬隆,全長150公里,將采用中國技術(shù)、中國標(biāo)準(zhǔn)和中國裝備,設(shè)計時速為每小時250至300公里。建成通車后,從雅加達至萬隆的時間將縮短為約40分鐘。2015年10月16日,中國鐵路總公司在雅加達與印度尼西亞4家國有企業(yè)簽署協(xié)議,組建中國--印尼雅萬高鐵合資公司,負責(zé)印尼雅加達至萬隆高速鐵路項目的建設(shè)和運營。雅萬高鐵項目是國際上首個由政府主導(dǎo)搭臺、兩國企業(yè)間進行合作建設(shè)的高鐵項目,是國際鐵路合作模式的一次探索和創(chuàng)新。2016年1月21日,雅萬高鐵項目開工奠基。雅萬鐵路不僅將直接拉動印尼冶煉、制造、基建、電力、物流等配套產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展,增加就業(yè)機會,推動產(chǎn)業(yè)結(jié)構(gòu)升級,而且建成通車后,能夠極大地方便民眾出行,促進沿線商業(yè)開發(fā),帶動沿線旅游產(chǎn)業(yè)快速發(fā)展,并為中國--印尼之間在基礎(chǔ)設(shè)施、商貿(mào)等領(lǐng)域的進一步合作奠定良好基礎(chǔ)。
