The launch of a China-Arab States Cooperation Forum (CASCF) was announced by Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing of China and Secretary-General Amr Moussa of the League of Arab States on January 30, 2004 after President Hu Jintao’s visit to the headquarters of the League, and met with Secretary-General Amr Moussa and representatives of this 22-member organization.

2004年1月30日，時(shí)任中國(guó)國(guó)家主席胡錦濤訪問(wèn)了阿拉伯國(guó)家聯(lián)盟總部，會(huì)見了時(shí)任阿盟秘書長(zhǎng)阿姆魯?穆薩和22個(gè)阿盟成員國(guó)代表。會(huì)見結(jié)束后，時(shí)任中國(guó)外長(zhǎng)李肇星與穆薩秘書長(zhǎng)共同宣布成立“中國(guó)—阿拉伯國(guó)家合作論壇”。

Addressing the opening ceremony of the Sixth CASCF Ministerial Meeting on June 5, 2014, President Xi Jinping characterized the CASCF as of strategic importance for the long-term development of bilateral relations and substantive cooperation.

2014年6月5日，習(xí)近平主席在中阿合作論壇第六屆部長(zhǎng)級(jí)會(huì)議開幕式上講話表示，中阿合作論壇是著眼中阿關(guān)系長(zhǎng)遠(yuǎn)發(fā)展作出的戰(zhàn)略抉擇，已成為豐富中阿關(guān)系戰(zhàn)略內(nèi)涵、推進(jìn)中阿務(wù)實(shí)合作的有效抓手。

The Seventh CASCF Ministerial Meeting was held in Doha, capital of Qatar, on May 12, 2016. Chinese President Xi Jinping and Qatar Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani each sent a letter of congratulations to the meeting. Under the theme of “Jointly Building the Belt and Road to Reinforce Strategic Cooperation,” the meeting reached a broad consensus on bilateral relations and future work of the CASCF.

2016年5月12日，中阿合作論壇第七屆部長(zhǎng)級(jí)會(huì)議在卡塔爾多哈舉行。習(xí)近平主席和卡塔爾埃米爾塔米姆?本?哈馬德?阿勒薩尼分別致賀信。會(huì)議圍繞“共建‘一帶一路’，深化中阿戰(zhàn)略合作”議題，就中阿關(guān)系發(fā)展和中阿合作論壇建設(shè)達(dá)成廣泛共識(shí)。

By July 2016, seven CASCF ministerial meetings and 13 senior officials meetings had been held, and other mechanisms of cooperation have also been functioning well.

截至2016年7月，中阿合作論壇已舉行七屆部長(zhǎng)級(jí)會(huì)議、十三次高官會(huì)，其他合作機(jī)制也得到有序運(yùn)行。
